Today, I pause to remember and honor Ambika Shrestha, a true pioneer and one of the first Nepali women to rise to such incredible heights on the global stage. Her life was not just about personal success — it was about opening doors, breaking barriers, and carrying the pride of Nepal across borders.
From promoting Nepal’s tourism industry to passionately preserving our cultural heritage, Ambika Shrestha dedicated her life to showcasing Nepal’s rich history, traditions, and potential to the world. Her leadership, grace, and tireless work helped put Nepal on the map as a destination of beauty, culture, and resilience.
But beyond her achievements, what set her apart was her courage — as a woman, as a leader, as a proud Nepali — at a time when few dared to dream so big. She inspired countless young women to believe that they, too, could reach for the sky.
Her absence is deeply felt, but her legacy lives on — in every empowered woman, every cultural landmark, and every visitor who falls in love with Nepal.
Thank you, Ambika Shrestha, for showing us what’s possible. You will always be remembered.
